Top Ten Optical Industry Technologies of the Year, Three from Optical Valley
日期:2019-01-24 11:16
The first technology is the production of domestic 20 kW high-power all-fiber laser. After more than two years of efforts, the project of "20 kW Fiber Laser and Its Core Devices Research and Development", a major technological innovation project in Hubei Province undertaken by Ruike Laser, passed the acceptance of experts organized by Hubei Science and Technology Department on October 17, 2018, and has now started small-scale production. This technology is of great significance for China to master the core technology of fiber laser, realize the localization of high-power fiber laser and its key devices, and develop high-end fiber laser industry.
The second technology is the first commercial 100G silicon optical chip in China. The commercial silicon carbide optical chip integrates nearly 60 active and passive optical components including optical transmission, modulation and reception on a silicon chip less than 30 square millimeters. After the chip is packaged, the product size of the silicon optical device is only 312 square millimeters, and the area of the chip is only one third of that of the traditional device. The chip is jointly developed by National Information Optoelectronic Innovation Center, Optical Technology Company, State Key Laboratory of Optical Fiber Communication Technology and Network and China Information and Communication Technology Group. It can realize the mass production of 100G/200G fully integrated silicon-based coherent optical transceiver integrated chips and devices. It has passed the users current network test and has stable and reliable performance.
The third technology is the first successful iris recognition ASIC chip in the world. After seven years of technical research, QX8001, the first ASIC chip for iris membrane biometric recognition, developed by Wuhan Hongxun Technology Co., Ltd., successfully streamed. Through strict functional and performance testing, it completed an important step before production. The chip solves the problems of expensive price, large volume and high power consumption of iris biometrics equipment. After mass production, iris biometrics technology and products can be rapidly popularized and applied.
